Support

Sep 15, 2017

I’m so thankful for the support I have around me. The saying, “It takes a village” is so very true.

Just this week I’ve experienced the support of my little community as one friend watched my son while I went to jury duty. Another few friends watched all my sons while I went to meetings after church. And my Mom and Mother-in-law have watched them on countless occasions while I worked or when hubby and I just needed a date.

I couldn’t make it without that support.

Then there’s the spiritual support from my friends. We have a little text group where we support each other and have each other’s backs. Just one text and you know several friends will be praying for you.

We all need those and other types of support in our lives. Without it we feel alone and begin to allow life to take us under. With it we have hope for one more day.

This post is written from a prompt in the Five Minute Friday community. Every Friday Christian writers join together to write for five minutes, no editing, on one prompt. Come join us at FiveMinuteFriday.com. We’d love to have you!

Yes, God had definitely given me a strong support system right now. We never know how much sometime small seems huge to someone else.
