The Spirit’s Love

Sep 22, 2010

Can you imagine what our churches, our lives, would look like if we embraced the Spirit’s presence there? If through the Spirit we were able to comprehend “…the breadth and the length and the height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge…” (Eph. 3: 18),” it seems the way we treat each other would look much different. The petty arguments that now divide us wouldn’t matter. The color of the carpet, how we use our building, and yes, even how we worship, WOULD NOT MATTER.

Think about it. The closest we come to God’s kind of love here on earth is for our children. What lengths are we willing to go because our love for them? What sacrifices are we willing to make? What differences are we willing to ignore? What mistakes and sins are we willing to overlook and forgive? All because of our love for them.
