Daily Quiet Time: Advent Study

Dec 1, 2012

This month we were going to just take a break, but since I wanted to do the Advent study with GoodMorningGirls.org, I thought I’d ask those in our Facebook group to join me. There has been some interested, so I decided to extend the invitation to you also.

Don’t worry if you’ve never done this type of study before. I haven’t either. I’m really interested in doing this study since I haven’t really celebrated Christmas religiously before, but now I’d really like to find out more. The first week has been really good, and I’d love for you to join us!

If you’d like to join and haven’t, you can go to GoodMorningGirls.org and subscribe to their blog. The next email you receive will have the Advent Study ebook attached. Don’t worry that it’s already in week two. The weeks don’t build on each other, so you haven’t missed anything, and like our Ephesians study we just finished last week, the readings are so short you could easily catch up over the weekend if you wanted to.

I found Good Morning Girls this past fall and have been following their blog to see if it is something we may be interested in joining. So far I really like what I see. Each Monday they have a post over the reading for the week that I’ve found really insightful. They also focus heavily on God’s Word, doing a SOAP study like we did this fall. So even if you’re not interested in doing this study, go over and check them out when you have time. Their January study is one of the ones I’m considering for us next year. Please let me know what you think.

For the next few weeks you can expect to find links to their post each Monday, then we’ll take a break on Mondays until the end of the year. In January you can expect to see information about the Bible study we’ll be beginning then.

I hope you’re having a great holiday season! Have a cup of Hot Coco on me!

God Bless,

t.

Do you find it hard to study the Bible?

It doesn’t have to be.

Let me help you learn a technique for studying that makes it simple. Join me as we study one chapter each week and memorize two verses of scripture each month.

You’ll be amazed at the difference it makes in your life.
