A Christmas Gift ~ Cindy Cain

Dec 24, 2014

As my Christmas gift to you, I share some of my favorite verses which have helped me through some of my toughest times:

“So we say with confidence: the Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” Hebrews 13:6

“There is none like the God of Jeshuran, who rides the heavens to your help, and through the sky in his majesty.” Deuteronomy 33:26 “I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” Psalm 27:3

“So do not fear for I am with you; don not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced, those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish.” Isaiah 41:11, 12

“The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all.” Psalm 34:18, 19

“I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock in whom I take refuge. He is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” Psalm 18: 1, 2

“Wait for the Lord; be strong, take heart and wait for the Lord.” Psalm 27:14 “Who then is the man that fears the Lord? He will instruct him in the way chosen for Him.” Psalm 25:12

“In the shelter of your presence you hide them from the intrigues of men; in your dwelling you keep them safe from accusing tongues.” Psalm 31:20

“Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.” Psalm 9:10

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5, 6

“Not by might nor by power, but by my spirit says the Lord Almighty.” Zechariah 4:6

“Since you are precious in my sight, since you are honored and I love you.” Isaiah 43:4

“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Roman 15:13

“But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.” 2 Thessalonians 3:3

“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set us free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:1, 2

“So we say with confidence: The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” Hebrews 13:6

“This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only son into the world that we might live through him.” 1 John 4:9

I don’t know about you, but I need help remembering God’s truths in the face of the Evil One’s lies. I have these verses, plus a lot more, written on index cards cut in half. That makes them small enough to put in my pocket, purse, or bedside table for ready reference.

Please enjoy! And Merry Christmas!

Isaiah 40: 28-31 The Lord is the everlasting God. the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and strengthens the powerless. Even youths will faint and be weary and the youth will fall exhausted. But those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles. they shall run and not be weary they shall walk and not faint. Dr.Hannah
