Gospel Centered Mom by Brooke McGlothlin

Gospel Centered Mom quote

This was the message I didn’t know I needed to hear. As a mom, many days I find myself thinking, “I can’t do this!” Brooke McGlothlin’s message in Gospel Centered Mom: The Freeing Truth About What Your Kids Really Need, was a resounding, “Yes, that’s right! On your own you can’t but Jesus can.”

I thought what I needed was to work harder, read more parenting books, or find another discipline strategy; however, her message pointed me straight back to Jesus. Not to a quick fix or magic answer but to the one who has the answers.

Her message also helped to guide my eyes back towards heaven. It’s so easy to get caught up in my goals, dreams, and plans for my family and myself. She reminded me that life is not about my dreams. Instead, it’s about God’s plan to save the world. His dream is so much bigger than just me.

If you feel stuck in a mothering rut or like one more poop mess or back talk will send you over the edge, this book will help you see “there’s more than just now” and will help lift your eyes back to Jesus. The one we all really need.
