Fiction Friday ~ In Between

Jun 28, 2013

In Between…

Sarah drove to work on the crowded freeway. Normally she was at work before anyone else, but today she’d taken the morning off to wrap up loose ends from her trip. She’d just ended up cutting off a few in the process.

Now what to do, she thought. She’d obviously have to quit her job at the bank today or tomorrow and give them the required two weeks notice. But she’d also have to begin fund raising to pay her way back immediately.

As a horn blared behind her, she was reminded of the traffic in Bucharest. It was like this traffic, too. No matter the time of day, you ran the risk of getting stuck. Interesting how though both were concrete jungles they differed so much…

I’m using the Gypsy Mama’s Friday prompts to get me started. Every Friday writers join together at LisaJoBaker.com for Five Minute Friday. One word, five minutes, no editing, and no back tracking. Come join the fun!
