YouVersion App

Feb 7, 2019

You may already know about YouVersion for your smartphone or tablet, but just in case you don’t….

I love this app! It was created by LifeChurch.tv in Oklahoma City, a community church that was planted in 1996 by Craig Groeschel.

For those who like to highlight and take notes, it is easy with YouVersion. You can highlight in different colors and take notes that are saved on a server so you can access them from your computer, too.

You can also access the notes that others have saved to their public folder and sometimes get a deeper understanding of a verse that way. You can also share your own thoughts on verses for others to see.

Through the app, you have many, many Bible studies available on a wide variety of topics. Parenting, money, lent, reading through the Bible, etc. The app tracks your progress through the study and keeps track of the days for you. The best thing about this feature is that you can set up a reminder each day, so it’s easier to remember to do your Bible reading.

My favorite part of this app is that it allows you to have multiple versions of the Bible at your fingertips for FREE! Many are available for download. On my app, I currently have 4 different versions downloaded. When I’m reading, I can easily switch between versions to see what another one says and often get a better understanding of the verse or passage.

If you have a smartphone or tablet, I would highly recommend this app. It has quickly become my favorite Bible app so I have the Bible with me anywhere I go.
