flowers and sharks and fish, oh my!

A quick sum up since my last post…

As most of you know, I’m home now. Jeremy came home for a few days, but then went back to finish up Honolulu’s airport…

Since the last post, we went to Maui for Valentine’s Day. We got up at about 4am and road the Super Ferry over from Oahu. It was pretty cool, but if you get green easily be forewarned this boat ride is not for you. I was green for almost a week afterward. Well the 617 curves on the road to Hana, twice, that same day, didn’t help : )

Maui is beautiful! It’s my favorite island as far as just being pretty goes. Everywhere you turn—well don’t turn and look at what was burned last summer—is amazing. I’ll post pics on Facebook in a few weeks. The road to Hana is worth the drive, but make sure you’re ready to turn and drive back the same day. Hana is the smallest town I have ever seen. It has one franchise, Bank of Hawaii, and it’s in a wooden building with folding windows. I should have taken pics but by the time we got there is was getting dark and we were exhausted!

The next day we went to the Maui Sealife Park. It is an awesome aquarium. I wish ours could have looked like that! If you are scuba certified (Patrick) you can dive with the sharks and feed them. Hummm…one more thing to add to my bucket list.

Before we left Jer took me to a really good seafood restaurant for dinner. We had the Mahi-mahi Jer had been talking about. It was excellent. When I saw your food pics, Aub, I realized I should have taken pictures of the food arrangement. The presentation was like that in magazines. Oh well, note to self for next time.

Will there be a next time… I don’t know. Jer did get the Maui airport for his next job, yeah! But we don’t know what that means yet.

Well, on that note : ) our salt water fish experiment is officially over. We tried, they didn’t die, but I did send them off to a saltwater newbie so he could try his hand at it. Here a video of Crazy Charlie. Sorry no baby videos, but I do have fish:

Now that I’m back nothing much exciting to report, in Oklahoma that’s a very good thing! I’m home finishing up my very last Master’s class. Then it’s off to hunt for teaching jobs for the fall. ttfn. ~t.
